– وزارة السياحة والآثار تطلق مسابقة لهواة التصوير الفوتوغرافي
– تصوير القطع الأثرية التي تم انتشالها من تحت مياه البحر المتوسط والمعروضة بمتحفي اليوناني الروماني والإسكندرية القومي
لتسليط الضوء على التراث الثقافي المغمور بالمياه، تطلق وزارة السياحة والآثار، بدءاً من غداً الجمعة الموافق 1 أغسطس 2025، مسابقة لهواة التصوير الفوتوغرافي، لاختيار أفضل صورة تُبرز إحدى القطع الأثرية التي تم انتشالها من مياه البحر المتوسط والمعروضة حاليًا بالمتحف اليوناني الروماني أو متحف الإسكندرية القومي.
وأكد السيد شريف فتحي وزير السياحة والآثار، أن هذه المبادرة تأتي في إطار حرص الوزارة على تعزيز الوعي بأهمية التراث الثقافي المغمور بالمياه، والتعريف بما تمتلكه مصر من كنوز أثرية فريدة تم اكتشافها في أعماق البحر المتوسط، مشيرًا إلى أن المسابقة تهدف إلى تسليط الضوء على هذا التراث الفريد وتعزيز قيمته الحضارية، تماشياً مع التزام مصر باتفاقية اليونسكو لحماية التراث الثقافي المغمور بالمياه.
ومن جانبه، أوضح الدكتور محمد إسماعيل خالد الأمين العام للمجلس الأعلى للآثار، أن هذه المسابقة تمثل أحد الأنشطة التي تُنظمها الوزارة ضمن عدد من الفعاليات التي سيتم إقامتها خلال الفترة المقبلة لتسليط الضوء على التراث الثقافي المغمور بالمياه، مشيرًا إلى أن المسابقة ستُعلن عبر الصفحات الرسمية لوزارة السياحة والآثار على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
وتُفتح أبواب المشاركة أمام المصورين من داخل مصر وخارجها لتصوير القطع الأثرية المنتشلة من البحر المتوسط، والمعروضة في المتحف اليوناني الروماني ومتحف الإسكندرية القومي، خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 10 أغسطس 2025، وذلك خلال مواعيد العمل الرسمية للمتحفين بمدينة الإسكندرية.
وعلى المشاركين إرسال الصور التي تم التقاطها، مرفقة بسيرة ذاتية مختصرة، إلى البريد الإلكتروني التالي (training@mota.gov.eg)، وذلك في موعد أقصاه الخميس 14 أغسطس 2025.
وستقوم لجنة تحكيم متخصصة تضم نخبة من أساتذة الجامعات والخبراء في مجالات التصوير والآثار بتقييم المشاركات، بإشراف الأمانة الفنية للمسابقة.
وأشار الدكتور أحمد رحيمة معاون وزير السياحة والآثار لتنمية الموارد البشرية والمشرف على وحدة التدريب المركزي، أن التقييم سيركز على الجودة الفنية، والقدرة على إبراز التفاصيل الدقيقة والجمال البصري للقطع الأثرية، بمنظور إبداعي فني.
وأضاف إنه من المقرر إعلان أسماء الفائزين يوم الاثنين 18 أغسطس 2025، على أن يتم تكريمهم خلال احتفالية رسمية تُعقد يوم 21 أغسطس 2025.

• Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launches a photography competition for Egypt’s emerged underwater treasures
• Participants will photograph artifacts emerged from the Mediterranean, currently displayed at the Graeco-Roman Museum and the Alexandria National Museum
As part of its efforts to shed more light on underwater cultural heritage, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is launching a photography competition, starting tomorrow, Friday, August 1, 2025.
The competition invites participants to capture the best photo showcasing one of the artifacts recovered from the Mediterranean Sea, currently exhibited at either the Graeco-Roman Museum or the Alexandria National Museum in Alexandria.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, H.E. Sherif Fathy, asserted that this initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to raising awareness on the significance of underwater cultural heritage, and to promoting Egypt’s unique archaeological treasures discovered beneath the Mediterranean Sea.
He noted that the competition aims to highlight the historical and cultural value of this distinctive heritage, in line with Egypt’s commitment to the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.
Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), explained that the competition is one of several activities organized by the Ministry represented by the SCA, in the coming period to spotlight underwater cultural heritage. He noted that full details will be announced via the Ministry’s official social media channels.
Participation is open to photographers from Egypt and abroad, who are invited to photograph artifacts emerged from the Mediterranean and currently exhibited at the Graeco-Roman Museum and the Alexandria National Museum between August 1 and August 10, 2025, during the museums’ official working hours in Alexandria.
Participants must submit their photographs, along with a brief CV, via email to training@mota.gov.eg no later than Thursday, August 14, 2025.
A specialized jury panel, including a selection of university professors and experts in photography and archaeology, will evaluate the submissions under the supervision of the competition’s technical committee.
Dr. Ahmed Rahima, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Human Resources Development and Head of the Central Training Unit, noted that the evaluation will focus on artistic quality, the ability to highlight fine details and the visual beauty of the artifacts from a creative and artistic perspective.
He added that the winners will be announced on Monday, August 18, 2025, and will be awarded during an official ceremony to be held on August 21, 2025.
